The Texas Highway Patrol honored MSR Houston for its service to the Texas State Troopers.

Angleton, Texas, January 7, 2008—The Texas Highway Patrol honored MSR Houston yesterday for its service to the Texas State Troopers.

Sergeant Randy Jones, Corporal Todd Duke and Trooper Keith Gifford presented a plaque to the staff at MSR Houston in appreciation for its efforts in the training of the Texas State Troopers.

MSR Houston hosts Trooper Schools one to two times per month, at no cost, to help enhance the driving skills of the local Troopers. In the past year, over 120 Troopers have been through the school and the fleet's accident ratio has decreased 36%.

MSR Houston is looking forward to continuing the partnership with the Texas Highway Patrol this year and has already set the first of several dates.

The plaque reads:
"Let it be known to all citizens of the great State of Texas: During the year of our Lord 2008, MSR Houston has completed an extensive emergency driver training program in partnership with the Texas Highway Patrol. During this driver training program, MSR Houston has greatly enhanced the driving skills of over 120 Department of Public Safety Troopers. MSR Houston designed, created and developed the first of its kind driver training program. They integrated the skills and techniques of a racecar driver into a program to enhance operational efficiency of Texas State Troopers. The results of the first year of training decreased the trooper's fleet accident ratio by an amazing 36% over previous years. The cooperative effort of MSR Houston and the Texas Highway Patrol has saved countless lives and tax dollars. The staff and employees of MSR Houston are an example of true patriotism. They have set a new standard for the definition of a great American and fellow Texan. "
