The following rules are designed for the safety and enjoyment of all participants. Please observe and respect these rules as we wish everyone a safe and pleasurable experience at MSR Houston.
- All participants, driving or not, must sign waiver before any kart track activities.
- All drivers must have armband to enter the kart track.
- Only one mechanic per driver is allowed in the hot pit.
- No one under the age of 18 on any motorized vehicles.
- Only MSR Houston pit vehicles are allowed on the track-side of the building. Any unauthorized motorized vehicles will be asked to leave.
- No unauthorized personnel are allowed on the kart track at anytime, only MSR Houston employees and track officials.
- Absolutely no contact.
- No stopping or slowing down on the track. If you wish to wait for someone, please do so in the pits.
- If a kart breaks down, take all measures to ensure both your safety and the karts safety until a track official comes to help.
Competition kart drivers are always required to wear:
- Karting suit
- Snell 95 full face helmet
- Gloves
- Driving Shoes
- Neck Brace
Flags
- Green Track is open/start of session
- Yellow Caution: raise your arm and slow down
- White Last lap
- Red Track is closed/an accident has happen on track: raise your arm, drive very slowly to the pits.
- Checkered Session/race is over
Sessions
- 15 minutes adult concession karts
- 15 minutes kid concession kart and kid competition karts
- 15 minutes cadet competition karts (under 12)
- 15 minutes junior/adult competition karts (12 and older)
