Teen Driving Schools Beyond driver's education Our Teen Driving School is an experience beyond driver's education that gives novice drivers the opportunity to experience extreme situations in a controlled environment, using our Mercedes C230 Sports Sedans or the student's personal street car. Qualified licensed coaches are monitoring and riding with the student throughout the entire day. Understand limitations This is not a course for learning how to drive at high speeds. Safety and car control are the objectives. Challenging driving courses are created on a closed skid pad to allow the student to experience abnormal car behavior and lean how to handle the new situation. The course is wet down to allow the students to experience "mistakes" at very slow speeds. In this class, mistakes are learning experiences. We teach driving basics such as seating position, mirror placement, proper vision and awareness. Drivers are also taught the technicalities of the physical limitations as well as their own personal limits. The primary emphasis of this school is a "hands-on" driving experience that can teach students several aspects of how to control and maintain the car. They are taken to the skid pad to focus on recognizing skids and reacting properly to them. Learn car control On the braking drill, teens learn to maximize their anti-lock brake system (ABS) or non-ABS system in order to stop their cars as quickly as possible. Participants to learn to maximize turning potential with aggressive steering inputs in order to avoid accidents on the evasive lane change exercise. More information Schools last a full day, from 8:30 a.m, to 4 p.m., with lunch provided for all students.
